Flying Visit

Two weeks ago I flew to the UK for a mini holiday to see family and friends.  I know I have called it a holiday in this paragraph but I don't regard going back to the UK a real holiday (I don't want this to come across as mean, but to me..) a holiday is sightseeing and lying on a beach soaking up the sun!
Every time I go back home my days are crammed with seeing people and traveling here there and everywhere.  It's full on, a little exhausting and 99% of the time results in me getting ill.
Now this still doesn't mean I haven't had a blast catching up with everyone, lunching with friends, drinking and dancing the nights away and the endless amount of laughter.
I loved every minute of it and as a result of this I am rather homesick.  I'm waiting for the Aussie summer to help me get through this!

Here a few snap shots of my trip, home town and what I got up too.

After a 23hour flight I am back in Sydney and a day at blustery Bondi blew the cobwebs away and helped me stay awake till at least until 8.30pm!!  Be gone with you jet lag!

Fiji

Fiji.  The land of exotic tropical islands, big smiles, scorching heat and relaxing on their sun kissed beaches.  This was where we spent the last seven days relaxing and sunning ourselves on the Coral Coast south of the main island.  The five star hotel meanders down a gentle hill making it's way to the beach with little garden huts dotted in between palm trees and beautiful flowers as you stroll down.  We were luckily staying right next to the beach looking out over sea.  Situated on a hill behind the hotel is  BeBe Spa and bar where we spent most evenings there watching the sun set over the coast and eating tapas and treating yourself to a Fijian massage before you indulge.

The weather for the seven days was fantastic and not a drop of rain threatened us.
This was the perfect holiday and I wish I could click my fingers to back under the sun, relaxing with not a care in the world.

P.S. apologies for the crazy amount of photos, too many to choose from!

Fiji time

Ok so I'm getting a little carried away....the boy and I have booked a seven night break in Fiji, however this little holiday is six weeks away roughly so I am wishing the weeks away (which is bad I know but this is our first holiday together in ages)

We're going to be staying in a resort south/west of the main island which is right next to the beach.  Since moving to Australia I am envious of everyone back in the UK booking cheap holidays to Europe and having long weekends in the South of France or Greece etc.  I do slightly regret not taking Europe to my full advantage while I lived there.  But still I've done more than your average 24 year old and I have been living in Australia for the past three and a half years, which get's heaps better summers than the UK will ever have.
Not to mention to tropical Islands dotted to the East of Australia waiting for me to visit! So I guess I have one up on all of you back home....cheeky I know!

Anyway.  Fiji. Yes.  I am more than excited to say the least.  Here are some internet images of where we will be staying.....The count down is on!
