Today's Outfit

I am obsessed with my new mint lace blazer.  Not one to blow my own trumpet but it does look fab on.  It's from ASOS and I'm pretty sure there were matching pants as well as shorts and maybe even a skirt if your lucky.
Here is the link.  Go check them out.

After a long day at the beach soaking up the sun it's time for some Yum Cha.  Dumplings are my weak spot!  (Going to attempt to make them next week) Hope your all having a fantastic long Easter weekend and are eating your body weight in chocolate.

Every Day Foundation

I'm back with what seems like a forever away from the blogging world.  I have missed you.  Reason for being M.I.A - new job and insane long hours.  Weekends are now my only time to catch up with Youtube and other fellow bloggers.

I wanted to do a quick ramble on my current foundation obsession.  It's a mixture of two foundations which really balance each other out rather well.

The first foundation is Shiseido Sun Protection Liquid Foundation.  This is like a little miracle in a bottle.  Not only is it SPF 30+ it is also 80 minutes water resistant.  So come rain, sweat or sea this bad boy will not budge. How amazing.
I've been wearing this foundation for over a month now and I couldn't rate it more.  Once applied and after a 10 hour day at work, followed by drinks and dinner in the evening my foundation looks as if it has just been applied with a fresh glowing look.
The only down side to the foundation is that it only comes in seven shades.  The MUA matched me with the shade SPF70 which I was a little shocked about as it's the darkest colour there, but when swatched it matched perfectly.  I will have to get a lighter shade for winter otherwise I will be an oompa lumpa!

I use my Real Techniques buffing brush and it blends it in like a dream.

Shiseido on the left, Lord & Berry on the right.

The other foundation I actually came across on ASOS.  It's a cream foundation by Lord & Berry.  After getting Shiseido's Foundation which was dark and rather runny, I wanted another foundation that I could mix with it.
I haven't tried it by itself as it's a little too light for my skin tone at the moment so maybe by winter I will give it a go on it's own.  As for the foundation itself.  It only comes in four shades which is ridiculous.  However it has a great creamy texture and is so smooth when applied to the skin.  I'm not sure what shade I got as it's not on the box or bottle, only the number 8620 which is frustrating.

Mixing these two together has worked wonders for me and it photographs well even with the SPF 30+ included.
If your looking for a foundation that is like a second skin and a new best friend I would highly recommend Shiseido's Sun Protection foundation.  Especially for all those people in the Northern Hemisphere who are heading into Spring/Summer this will be perfect for you.  The price is a little steep but in my eyes worth every penny.
